He stated,"It could be the biggest fight in boxing right now.”Both are two of the most accomplished athletes in boxing and their possible match could be a huge draw for the industry as seen in years.Jake Paul's rumored opponent, Anthony Joshua, has not competed in a long timeAnthony Joshua's last match took place in September 2024 against Daniel Dubois, which he lost via Knockout. While there was an expectation for his return to the ring in 2025, Eddie Hearn stated that it is unlikely that it will happen. However, Hearn hoped that Joshua would have his next fight in February 2026, and he had been in camp for the last four to five weeks in hopes of returning by that timeline.He said,"At the moment, we're all working towards our February date, which is getting very close to being confirmed...He's four, five weeks deep into camp now. So, he's on me to fight. Previously, he hadn't been training in camp with intensity. He wasn't really looking to fight, other than February. But now he's almost ready to go."While there is no confirmation regarding a potential blockbuster showdown between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul at the moment, Eddie Hearn has constantly talked about the former World Heavyweight Champion participating in a mega-fight at some point next year. However, now with Hearn teasing Paul's name, there is a huge possibility that this epic collision might finally happen.
