Congress Disciplinary Committee Meeting Addresses Party Infighting and Public Statements

A crucial meeting of the Congress disciplinary committee was held at the state Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan in Shimla on Tuesday (June 9). The meeting was called at a time when the rhetoric and infighting of leaders within the party has been a topic of discussion for the past few days. There is an uneasy atmosphere within the party, especially over some of the statements and comments made by former MLA Neeraj Bharti on social media. After the meeting, the chairman of the disciplinary committee Kuldeep Rathore said that discipline is most important in the Congress party and it cannot be ignored at any cost. He made it clear that those who make public statements against the party's ideology, organization and leadership will not be spared. Rathore said that if any leader or worker has any complaint or disagreement, there is a proper forum within the party. It is everyone's right to have their say within the organization, but it is not the right way to make statements against the party through media or social media. According to sources, the recent statement of former MLA Neeraj Bharti in the meeting has also given an opportunity to the leaders of the Congress party to discuss and express their concerns on social media platforms.
