Dude Box Office Collection: Tamil Romantic Drama Breaks Records with Rs 70 Crore

Directed by Keerthiswaran, the romantic drama started slowly but quickly gained momentum over the weekend, turning into a box-office success story. After its second week in theatres, the film has collected an impressive Rs 70 crore.Ranganathan, who’s no stranger to blockbusters, seems set for yet another Rs 100 crore triumph. His previous releases, Dragon (2025), directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, which amassed Rs 150 crore, and Love Today (2022), a surprise Rs 105 crore hit celebrated for its fresh storytelling, have already cemented his reputation as a consistent crowd-puller. Released just ahead of Diwali, Dude has been steadily breaking its own records. Following a modest start, the film gained strong momentum over the weekend, collecting Rs 10.4 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.6 crore on Sunday, bringing its three-day total to Rs 21 crore. The streak continued into Monday, with collections rising slightly to Rs 11 crore, a 2% uptick in Tamil markets, even as numbers softened a bit in Telugu regions. By Wednesday, it had earned another Rs 4 crore, and Rs 2.25 crore more on Thursday. According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, Dude has now crossed Rs 56 crore in domestic earnings after its first week. Collections dipped further in the second week as Dude collected less than half of its first week record. While it stayed afloat Rs 1 crore, Dude grossed Rs 1.1 crore on its second Thursday, to bring the total week 2 collection to Rs 13.7 crore. Overall, Dude’sbox office collectiontouched Rs 70 crore in India. Directed by Keerthiswaran, Dude stars Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju, R. Sarathkumar, Rohini, and Hridhu Haroon in key roles. While this romantic drama dominates Tamil screens,Baahubali: The Epic, the four-hour master cut of its preceding films returns to the big screen after a decade. Garnering huge support from the fans, the cult favourite is set to overshadow Dude’s magic soon.
