Listed geotech giant MapmyIndia has signed an agreement with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to integrate the latter’s real-time data into its navigation platform Mappls. Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU), Mappls will integrate DMRC’s API within the app. With this, its 3.5 Cr users will be able to access real-time data such as routes, fares, and train frequencies on the app. In a statement, Mappls said that the integration will help the general public locate nearby government services, check “optimised” routes with estimated travel times, and report civic and traffic issues such as congestion, accidents, parking challenges or waterlogging. The company said it will then share these inputs directly with the relevant authorities.
