A video shared on Instagram has drawn attention after a man spoke about the changes he experienced within days of quitting his job. In the clip, the man, who goes by the Instagram handle Director Dayal and describes himself as a creative director, filmmaker and designer, said that years of stress-related symptoms disappeared soon after he quit his job. According to Dayal, he had lived for a long time with constant pressure and pain in his head, a condition he had gradually accepted as part of everyday life. That perception changed once he stopped working. He said that within just 10 to 12 days of becoming jobless, the discomfort completely disappeared, leaving him startled by the extent to which his professional life had been affecting his well-being. Change In Smoking Habit He also spoke about an unexpected change in his smoking habit. Dayal revealed that he used to smoke nearly 20 cigarettes a day, but stopped entirely after leaving his job. He said the craving just faded as his mind began to feel calmer and more settled. Beyond physical relief, Dayal described a shift in mental clarity and awareness. He said he now feels more present and observant, with an improved ability to think clearly and process information. Everyday activities, including understanding films, emotions and differing viewpoints, feel easier to navigate. Lack of Fear And Anxiety What stood out most for him, however, was the absence of fear and anxiety upon waking up each day. He explained that there is no longer any tension linked to work, no stress over deadlines and no pressure to lie or make excuses. Towards the end of the video, Dayal acknowledged the importance of financial stability but said his experience had reshaped his priorities. “If there is peace, it feels like everything is there. If there is no peace, even a salary slip feels meaningless," he said. Watch the video here: A post shared by Director Dayal (@director_dayal) How Did The Internet React?
