Defying the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B)refusal of censor exemption to a slew of filmsat the ongoing International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), the CPI(M)-led government in the state Tuesday said it has decided to screen all those movies without waiting for the Centre’s nod. “All films that have been denied censor exemption will be screened at the IIFK,” Chief MinisterPinarayi Vijayanwrote in a social media post. Meanwhile, after denying censor exemption to 19 films, the I&B ministry gave the green signal to the screening of four of them Tuesday. These include Beef, Once Upon a Time in Gaza, Eagles of the Republic, and Heart of the Wolf.
