AAP's Sheetal Rathore Elected Chairperson of Baran Municipal Council in Rajasthan

A new chapter was added in the history of Baran Municipal Council on Monday. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sheetal Rathore has been elected as the new chairperson of Baran Municipal Council. In the thrilling contest held on Monday, she defeated Congress candidate Meenakshi Bhardwaj by a margin of 11 votes. Sheetal Rathod got a total of 31 votes in the presidential election. The biggest thing about this election was that the BJP councillors boycotted the voting. With this victory, the 15-year-old Congress board in Baran Municipal Council has been demolished and this has become the first municipal council government of the Aam Aadmi Party in Rajasthan. This time in the municipal council election, the seat distribution was as follows - Sheetal Rathod was the strongest contender from the majority AAP party due to the chairman's post being reserved for the general female category. Soon after the oath of the post of the councilor, she filed the nomination for the post of the chairperson. In the voting held on Monday, AAP kept all its 31 votes united.
