ABVP Sweeps Student Union Elections at MKP PG College

In the student union elections of MKP PG College, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won five out of six posts. ABVP's Ayushi Painyuli won the president's post, defeating Prachi Sharma of the National Students'Union of India (NSUI) by 53 votes. ABVP's Bhawna got 263 votes on the general secretary's post. After this, ABVP supporters celebrated the gate from the college campus by shaking hands with the winning candidates. The chief electoral officer administered the oath to the newly elected executive. Polling for the posts of president, vice-president, general secretary, joint secretary, and university representative began in the college on Tuesday. Polling was to be held in 10 booths in four rooms at 9.30 a.m. but due to non-arrival of the candidates, voting could start at 9.58 a.m.
