Ahmedabad Prepares for Local Body Elections on April 26

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Zila-Taluka Panchayat and 3 Municipalities Elections (Representative) Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad Polling for various local bodies of Ahmedabad district is scheduled for tomorrow, 26th April. District Election Officer and Collector Sujeet Kumar has appealed to all the voters of Ahmedabad to participate enthusiastically in this festival of democracy and exercise their franchise without fail. District Election Officer said that elections in a democracy are not just a process but a festival in which citizens get an invaluable opportunity to participate in the local administration by directly electing their representatives. He urged all the aware voters of Ahmedabad to exercise their franchise by taking advantage of the facilities made by the administration. He said that the District Election Officer's office, Ahmedabad has made elaborate arrangements to avoid any inconvenience to the voters in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Zila Panchayat, Taluka Panchayats and three Municipalities. Security arrangements have been made jointly by the police system and the district administration so that the voters can cast their votes in a neutral, fair and fearless environment.
