Ahmedabad to Host Record-Breaking Fourth IPL Final

Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium will host the title match of IPL 2026 on 31 May. The playoffs will begin on 26 May. The stadium will also hold the record for hosting the highest number of IPL finals. Chennai's Chepauk Stadium has hosted three finals. Last year's final was to be held in Kolkata but due to the possibility of rain, the title match was shifted to Ahmedabad. Why did Bengaluru not host the final? The BCCI said in its statement after Bengaluru was not selected to host the final, "Bengaluru was chosen to host the final in the beginning, but due to some local authorities and association guidelines, the venue has been changed to another venue," and the protocol has been changed.
