AI Becomes Key Job Safety Net in Tech Industry

In the tech industry, AI is no longer just a tool to make work easier, but it has become the biggest "safety net" to protect your job. According to new research from Gallup, tech workers who aren't using AI in their day-to-day work are three times more likely to lose their jobs than their AI-using peers. Gallup estimated this based on a survey of more than 23,000 working people in the United States. This included 660 people who had recently lost their jobs. Its statistical model revealed many things, such as that tech workers who use AI tools at least once a month or more are only 6 percent as likely to be laid off. Non-AI users who use AI in their day-to-day work are 18 percent as likely to report that AI is used at a very low risk.
