AI-Enabled Thyroid Cancer Detection Project Launched at AIIMS Bilaspur

An ambitious research project based on Artificial Intelligence and Genetic Testing is being undertaken at AIIMS Bilaspur to make thyroid cancer detection more accurate and reliable. This project will play an important role in risk assessment of thyroid tumours and early detection of cancer. If successful, the diagnosis of thyroid cancer may reduce the need for unnecessary surgeries and additional investigations. The research being undertaken at the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, AIIMS Bilaspur is titled AI-Enabled Multimodal Risk Stratification of Thyroid Nodules Using Cytology Imaging and a Targeted 6 Gene Mutation Panel.
