The AIADMK has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking a CBI probe against Vijay's party Tamilaga Vetri Kashagam (TVK) general secretary and four MLAs. The four MLAs had resigned from AIADMK and joined Tamil Nadu's ruling party TVK. AIADMK has filed this petition regarding the poaching of the four MLAs. The petition filed by M Srinivasan seeks a direction to the CBI to register a case against TVK general secretary N Anand alias Bussy N Anand and four former AIADMK MLAs. These four MLAs are K Maragatham Kumaravel (Maduranthakam Assembly constituency), S Jayakumar (Perundurai), P Sathyabama (Dharapuram) and Esakki Subbaiah (Ambasamudram). The four MLAs had joined TVK on May 25 and 26 after resigning as AIADMK MLAs. Tiwari has also filed a request to the Supreme Court to direct the CBI to file a full report within a stipulated time frame.
