Akali Dal Demands Probe into Attacks on Sukhbir Singh Badal

The Akali Dal has now demanded a probe by the central government into the two murderous attacks on Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal. Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the two cases. Harsimrat said these incidents cannot be ignored as mere coincidences. There is a possibility of a deep-rooted conspiracy behind them, so it is very important to get to the bottom of it. At a massive rally organised as part of the second phase of the Punjab Bachao Abhiyan in Guruharsahai, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, referring to the attack on Sukhbir Badal, said in an emotional tone that the Akali Dal's voice could not be suppressed by the attacks. She also shared pictures of Sukhbir Badal with the media after the attack. She pointed out that Sukhbir's arm was seriously injured in the attack and more than 150 stitches were applied during the surgery. She also showed a picture of the nearly one-and-a-half-foot-long kircha used in the attack.
