Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata at the Kolkata airport around 11 am on Friday. From there, he drove straight to the Dakshineswar temple. He was accompanied by Suvendu Adhikari and party state president Samik Bhattacharya. In the afternoon, the BJP has a meeting at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. According to sources, Shah will be at the meeting to decide who will be the chief minister of the BJP government in the state and who will be in the cabinet. The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet will be held at the Brigade on Saturday morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to be there. According to sources, Shah will go to a hotel in New Town before the meeting with the BJP's winning candidates. Shah will have lunch there. Then he will have a meeting at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre from 3 pm to 5 pm. He will stay at the same hotel in New Town. He is scheduled to leave from there on Saturday morning at the Brigade Parade Ground. As per tradition, the leader of the legislature party becomes the next chief minister of the government. Shah will be the deputy chief minister of the state cabinet.
