Amit Shah Hails West Bengal's Historic Change, Lays Foundation Stone for Amul's Mega Dairy Plant

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that many political changes took place in different states of the country after independence, but the change in Bengal is the most unique and historic. Addressing the ceremony after laying the foundation stone of Amul's mega dairy plant in the evening at the Vishwa Bangla Convention Center in Newtown, Kolkata, on the third and last day of his visit to Bengal, the Home Minister said that Bengal was once the guide of the whole country in every field. He said that for the last three decades, Bengal suffered from the foreign ideology of the Left and then faced the corrupt rule of the Trinamool Congress for 15 years. Now the people of the state have chosen the path of change. The House laid the foundation stone of Amul's proposed world's largest yoghurt production plant at Sankrail in Howrah district through this program. The plant will be set up at Sankrail Food Park at a cost of Rs 650 crore by the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation. During this light election, the Home Minister said that after Narendra Modi's victory in the assembly elections, the Prime Minister has come to Bengal to sweeten a yoghurt (sweetmeat).
