Amit Shah Slams Mallikarjun Kharge Over Anti-Gujarat Statement, Calls Congress Leaders Illiterate

New Delhi: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's anti-Gujarat statement has now sparked a debate. The BJP has called the statement an insult to Gujarat and 6 crore Gujaratis. In addition, there is anger among the Gujarati people. Home Minister Amit Shah has also attacked Kharge and the Congress on this matter. He quipped, "Only those who support the Congress are educated, the rest are illiterate!" Addressing a public meeting in Kerala, Amitbhai Shah said that since Rahul Gandhi became the leader, the level of intelligence of Congress leaders has been constantly going down. He then strongly criticized Kharge's statement and said that two days ago, Kharge said that Gujarat and the states that support the BJP are illiterate. Then he went on to say, "Hey Congressmen, you should be ashamed. The people of Gujarat who have given Saraswati Dayanand, Sardar Patel, Sarabhai, Narendra Modi and others, will you give a new definition to the illiterate Congress?"
