Amit Shah Visits Goa for Three-Day Meeting on Security, Drug Trafficking and Administration

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to Goa from Saturday (5 September 2026). The visit will continue till 7 September. The Home Minister will attend several important meetings and government programs. His program will include internal security, combating drug trafficking, better coordination between the Center and the state, and administrative issues related to the western states. Amit Shah will also participate in programs related to the organization of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Amit Shah will hold a meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs on the morning of 6 September. During this, various matters related to Goa will be reviewed. The meeting is also likely to discuss administrative and security issues related to the state, as well as other topics under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The purpose of the meeting is being told to further strengthen coordination between the state and the center and to decide the further strategy on pending matters. Amit Shah will hold a press conference on the issue related to narcotics in the afternoon. It will also give information about the campaign to stop drug trafficking and drug supply in the country.
