Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday formally inaugurated'Arpan ', a new purpose through reuse, recycling and upcycling, an exclusive old clothes donation centre at Punjabi Bagh West Metro Station. The initiative is an important step towards promoting waste management and circular economy in the capital in a scientific manner. The primary objective of this campaign is to encourage common citizens to donate their old but usable clothes instead of throwing them in the garbage. The collected clothes will be reused, recycled and upcycled, thereby drastically reducing textile waste and preventing damage to the environment.
