Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Discloses Assets Worth ₹4 Crore Ahead of Assembly Elections

While filing his nomination papers ahead of the Assembly elections, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's self and family assets were disclosed. His total assets at present are around ₹4 crore. The affidavit mentioned that he is a candidate from Jalukbari constituency. According to the affidavit, the Chief Minister has mainly immovable assets in his name. He has a marginal increase in assets in 2026 as compared to 2021. He currently has movable assets of around ₹2.36 crore. He has a little over ₹2 lakh in cash, and a significant amount of money deposited in various banks. He also stated that he does not hold any shares or other investments. On the other hand, his wife Riniki Bhuyan Sarma has a large amount of assets. She is the managing director of a media company. Her immovable assets are around ₹3 crore. Her immovable assets are around ₹5.10 crore. She also has assets worth around ₹5.10 crore through various investments. She has around ₹3 lakh in her name in banks and loans of around ₹2 lakh.
