Assam Elections: Congress Leader Pawan Khera Accuses Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of Hiding Foreign Assets

Just before the Assam Assembly elections, the political temperature has risen. Congress leader Pawan Khera made serious allegations against Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his family. Chief Minister Sarma has also warned that the Assam Police will dig Khera out of Patal as well. On Sunday, Pawan Khera had alleged that the Chief Minister's wife Riniki Bhuyan Sarma has many passports. He also claimed that she has foreign assets that were not mentioned in the Chief Minister's election affidavit. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also reacted to these allegations. He claimed that the documents that Khera is using have been taken from Pakistani social media handles. Sarma said, "Don't you know Assam Police? Patal se khod ke laayegi. Where is Pawan Khera hiding? What does he consider himself? What does he hide in Patal too? We will pick him up." The Chief Minister also claimed that after the arrest of Assam DCP Pawan Khera, the Delhi Police raided Khera's residence in Hyderabad this morning.
