Balen Shah: A Face of Youth Hope and Challenge to Nepal's Traditional Parties

In Nepal's recent politics, if there is one name that has shaken the roots of traditional parties, it is Balen Shah. Balen Shah, known as an engineer, rapper, and urban planner, established himself in a few years as a face of youth hope and challenge to the political system. His political journey has become a story of influence from protest to the peak of power. Balen Shah's political journey began not directly from the electoral field but with discontent against the system. He raised this question initially through public forums and social media. Traditional parties - especially KP Sharma Oli-led politics - are not able to solve the country's problems. During this period of discontent, after the promulgation of the new constitution in Nepal, he wrote on his Facebook that'there is no use in voting for the same old party and old leaders.'However, Balen Shah soon realized that fighting for change within the system is his political journey and declared that he would continue to fight the same political culture.
