Amid efforts to bring back former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from India, the government there has made it clear that no passport or travel document will be issued to her. Bangladesh's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir has said that Hasina will be brought back from India under the extradition treaty. He used very strong words for this, saying that terrorists and criminals do not need a passport to be brought back from India, but the process of handing them over from another country is followed. Humayun Kabir made this statement while talking to reporters at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on November 5. He arrived to see off a delegation led by Liu Haishing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China. He was asked about the extradition treaty between Bangladesh and India. Under this agreement, the process of bringing back Hasina will be followed. He said, "To bring back a terrorist or a criminal, a judicial process is not needed." He also said that a judicial process exists to bring her back.
