Bihar Education Department Faces Profile Update Crisis Ahead of Teacher Transfer Process

While the Bihar education department is busy preparing for the bumper transfer and posting of teachers, on the other hand, a major negligence has come to the fore. The profile update work of teachers in 12 districts of East Bihar, Kosi and Seemanchal is going on at a very slow pace, which can become a big hurdle in the transfer process in the coming days. According to the departmental report, out of a total of more than 1.47 lakh teachers in these 12 districts, only 52 percent of the teachers have updated their profiles so far. That is, about 48 percent of the teachers are still out of this mandatory process. The education department has given a clear ultimatum that the benefit of the teacher transfer process will be only those whose profiles will be updated on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal. Amarendra Pandey, the DPO of Bhagalpur, has warned in a stern tone that the salary of teachers who do not update their profiles can also be stopped.
