Bihar Expects Reduced Rainfall, Sweltering Temperatures as Monsoon Weakens

Due to the weakening of the monsoon in the state, many districts including Patna will experience a decrease in rainfall. The state is likely to receive less than normal rainfall during the next seven days. Conditions are becoming favourable for further advancement of the monsoon into other parts of the state during the next four to five days. According to the Meteorological Center Patna, the maximum temperature of most parts of the state is expected to be 38 to 42 ° C during the five days. Thunderstorm with lightning and light rain are predicted in 20 districts including Patna during the next 24 hours. The wind speed will be 50-60 kmph in these places. An orange alert has been issued for heavy rainfall in Begusarai, Lakhisarai and Munger of the state. The maximum temperature of 16 districts including Patna fell on Thursday. Patna remained the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 40.3 ° C and 42.5 ° C.
