Political rhetoric has intensified over the flood situation in Bihar. BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi hit back at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's comment that it is not appropriate to do politics at the time of disaster. He said that the flood situation is not completely under the control of the state government and it is also a matter of international water flows. Saraogi said that since the day the flood waters have come to Bihar, the Chief Minister is constantly conducting aerial surveys of the affected areas. He is also visiting the flood-affected areas and instructing the officials to speed up the relief and rescue work. He claimed that the entire government under the leadership of the Chief Minister is active in the affected areas. According to the BJP state president, the administration and security agencies are on the ground. SDRF and NDRF teams are deployed in the affected areas. Relief materials are being provided as per the need along with the evacuation of people trapped in the flood. Saraogi said that the subject of disaster management is not a political forum, but the coordination of the central agencies and the Sanjay Sarawagi claimed that the state administration is working to tackle the flood situation.
