Elections were held for 9 legislative council seats in Bihar, but voting did not take place. This was because there were only 9 candidates. So all 9 people won without any contest. This is called'elected unopposed '. That is, 9 seats on one side, 9 candidates on the other side, and if no one removed the paper, then everyone won. Out of these 9 seats, 8 were won by the ruling NDA (BJP + JDU + LJP) and 1 by the opposition RJD. BJP got 4 seats. These four people won: Pawan Singh (Bhojpuri superstar), Sanjay Mayukh (BJP's national media co-in-charge), Anil Thakur and Sheela Pandey. Pawan Singh left BJP in 2024, came back after a year and now became an MLC. BJP had only 2 out of these 9 seats earlier, now it has 4. JDU got 3 seats. The winners are: Nishant Kumar (Bihar's health minister), Bharti Mehta and Devi Prajapati. Interestingly, Shivani Devi Prajapati, an MLC from JDU, has come to JDU only after 2 months, and now she has claimed 3 seats in JDU.
