Minor Water Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Suman hit out at Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, saying that he has now woken up from his slumber and is talking about taking to the streets. He advised Tejashwi Yadav to have some patience and perseverance. At an event to mark Mountain Man Dashrath Manjhi's 19th Mahaparinirvan Diwas in Gaya, Minister Santosh Suman flagged off a bike rally to Gahlaur. Meanwhile, he made a statement about RJD's proposed march on August 19. The minister said that Tejashwi Yadav had reached number three in the Bankipur assembly by-election.
