Political speculation has begun, especially regarding the future of Minister Deepak Prakash and the status of senior leader Upendra Kushwaha. A total of 10 seats of the Legislative Council are to be elected. The NDA is projected to win 9 out of 10 seats in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, given its current strength. Political significance has increased considerably regarding ticket distribution. The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of four candidates, while the Janata Dal (United) has also fielded four candidates. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has got one seat. After the release of the list of candidates, the most discussed name is Deepak Prakash, who is not included in the list. Deepak Prakash is currently a minister in the Bihar government. According to the constitutional provisions, if a minister does not become a member of the Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council, he has to resign within six months. If Deepak Prakash is not a member of the Legislative Council, then it is mandatory for him to send a letter to the Legislative Council.
