Bihar's Chief Minister Meets JDU President to Discuss Cabinet Expansion

PATNA: The winds of change are blowing in Bihar's political corridors these days. Chief minister Samrat Chaudhary met JDU national president Nitish Kumar on Saturday and brainstormed on the list of prospective ministers and allocation of portfolios. The burden of administrative work is currently on the chief minister and deputy chief ministers as the cabinet structure is not clear even after two weeks of government formation. This crucial meeting is being considered as a decisive step towards reconciling within the NDA alliance and responding to the opposition's attacks. A 30-minute brainstorming on cabinet expansion has not been held in Bihar even after two weeks of the new government being sworn in. Chief minister Samrat Chaudhary is believed to have suddenly reached 7 Circular Road. He had a one-on-one meeting with Nitish Kumar for about half an hour.
