The BJP and the JD (U) have become stronger in the Bihar Legislative Council. The strength of both parties has increased in the House. The number of BJP members has now increased to 25. All 10 members elected unopposed were administered the oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday in the Legislative Council's auditorium. Chairman of the Legislative Council Awadhesh Narayan Singh administered the oath of office in the presence of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Anil Thakur, Power Star Pawan Singh, Sanjay Prakash and Sheela Pandit of the BJP were sworn in. Lalan Prasad, Health Minister Nishant Kumar, Bharti Mehta and Shivrani Devi were also sworn in on behalf of the JD (U). Ashraf Ansari of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). Sunil Kumar Singh of the RJD was administered the oath of office and secrecy. Earlier, the notification was read out by Secretary in charge of the Legislative Council Shankar Kumar. A large number of dignitaries were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
