BJP Councillors Protest Non-Response from Delhi's Public Health Department

Senior BJP Councillor Mukesh Goyal expressed displeasure over the non-response to the short duration question put up for discussion on subjects related to the Public Health Department and the officer of the department concerned not being present in the House. He said that there is a provision to seek information through the short duration question till two hours before the commencement of the sitting of the House. Leader of the House Jai Bhagwan Yadav had also sent the question more than two hours before the scheduled time, despite which the reply was not provided. BJP Councillor Narendra Girsa also expressed displeasure over the attitude of the officers on deputation. He alleged that such officers do not give any importance to the councillors and their behaviour remains negligent. Girsa said that the officers on deputation are being appointed even in the posts for which MCD officers are appointed. He demanded a stay on this. BJP Councillor Preeti also accused the officers of not listening to the problems and grievances of the councillors seriously. Apart from this, the BJP councillors did not raise the issue of local monsoon related issues, including sanitation and animal husbandry issues.
