BJP Hits Back at P Chidambaram, Questions Congress's Stance on Naxalism

The BJP has hit back at P Chidambaram after PM Modi's statement. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the Prime Minister raised the subject of mental Naxals, but in just 24 hours, the person who had a Naxal brain came out. P Chidambaram says he is proud to be a mental Naxal. The BJP leader questioned the Congress on the basis of this statement and what is the party's real thinking about Naxalism. Sudhanshu Trivedi also referred to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's old statement in which he had described Naxalism as one of the biggest threats to the country's internal security. Trivedi questioned the Congress whether Manmohan Singh's words were correct or P Chidambaram's current stance. He said that the Congress should clarify its stand on the issue. The BJP leader alleged that the influence of Naxalism had increased considerably in many parts of the country during the Congress-led governments. He claimed that Naxalism had affected 180 people in the district and that Naxalism had affected a lot of people in the country after the Red Corridor violence.
