BJP in Crisis: Ticket Sales Allegations Spark Tensions Within Party

As the election nears, the skeletons inside the saffron camp are tumbling out. Somewhere, there is a fight between Adi and Navya, while somewhere, there are allegations of direct sale of tickets for money. Maynaguri virtually turned into a battlefield on Wednesday over the change of candidates. The party's demand for'discipline'was doused in the fire of the anger of the Adi BJP workers. The situation reached such a crescendo that the angry workers locked the party office and shouted slogans against the leadership. In the Maynaguri assembly constituency, the BJP had first announced the name of Kaushik Roy. But Dalim Roy was suddenly replaced by Dalim Roy. The whole controversy started around Dalim Roy. The angry workers directly alleged that there was a big financial transaction to get a ticket for Dalim Roy, who came from the Trinamool. According to one of the agitating workers, "There is no price for the old party workers. Dalim Roy bought a ticket for Rs 52 lakh. Not ideal, tickets were being sold to outsiders for money." The tension in the Maynaguri office started on Wednesday morning when the BJP workers tried to control the situation outside the Dalim Roy office.
