BJP in Thane Claims to Have Received Only 10% of Funds Allocated for Opponent's Wards

Lokmat News Network: At a time when there is a controversy in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation over crores of funds given to only certain corporators, the BJP, which is in power in Thane, has claimed to have received only 10% of the funds sanctioned in three Mahasabha meetings. The BJP claims to have sanctioned 154.30 crores for Shinde's corporators'wards, and has also given good funds to MIM along with the two NCPs on the opposition benches. But Shinde has denied the allegation. The BJP has come up with a strong fund allocation figure. Even in the recent Mahasabha meeting, the BJP claims to have approved issues worth 432 crores. 70% of these proposals are from Shinde's corporators'wards, and the BJP has been accused of approving works worth 30-32 crores for the Leader of Opposition's ward. The BJP's proposal of 3.05 crores for 5 wards has been approved. In the last three Mahasabha meetings, Shinde's corporators have been sanctioned 154 crores, but our share of funds is only 43%.
