In the Lucknow Municipal Corporation in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, political infighting within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified. Now Mayor Sushma Kharkwal has demonstrated her strength amid the controversy over the budget allocation. More than 60 councilors have come out in support of her. On Thursday (August 6), Executive Vice President Sushil Tiwari Pammi handed over a letter of support signed by more than 60 councilors to BJP City President Anand Dwivedi. This letter from the mayor has been sent not only to the city president, but also to In-charge Minister Suresh Khanna, Urban Development Minister AK Sharma, and Organization Minister Dharampal Singh. The letter of support has alleged that some BJP councilors are making baseless allegations to tarnish the image of the party and the city corporation.
