Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and MP Tarun Chugh on Tuesday asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to observe'Holocaust Day'in memory of the martyrs of the 1947 tribal invasion. He also questioned the arrest and death of Jana Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, who gave the slogan of Ek Vidhan-Ek Nishan, and demanded that all the facts related to these should be made public. In his address at an event to commemorate the 73rd death anniversary of Jana Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in Srinagar today, Tarun Chugh said that in 1947, the Pakistani army attacked Jammu and Kashmir in the guise of tribal raiders and committed large-scale violence, loot and atrocities. He said that this tragedy did not find a proper place in history. The government should make public all the official documents and records related to that period so that people can understand the history of Jammu and Kashmir and the events of that time. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, founder of the Jana Sangh, suggested that detailed research on these events and facts should be brought to light through the 73rd death anniversary.
