BJP Leader Samir Dash Announces Contest Against Deputy CM Pravati Parida in Panchayat Elections

In a significant political development, internal political rift between senior leader Samir Dash and Pravati Parida intensified on Sunday after the former openly launched a scathing attack on the Deputy CM . The ongoing cold war between the two leaders has now taken a serious turn. Speaking at a workers’ meeting held in Bamanala area under Nimapada constituency, Dash openly opposed Parida and announced that there will be contest against her in the upcoming panchayat elections. He stated that he had supported her in the last Assembly elections against his will. Addressing party workers, Dash praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Majhi but strongly criticised Parida. He also alleged that within two weeks of taking oath as Deputy Chief Minister, Parida began completely ignoring him and his supporters. "Though we are in BJP, we will not vote for Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida's candidates in the upcoming panchayat elections. We will fight against her in the election. All the leaders of Bamanala panchayat have supported it in unison. Earlier, I have already said that I supported her in the Assembly elections against my will. As all of you also wish to give contest to her in the upcoming election, I am also with the people. I never do politics against the wish of the people," said senior leader Samir Dash. No response has been received from Pravati Parida regarding Dash’s remarks so far.
