The Central Election Committee of the BJP has announced the candidate for the assembly by-election to be held in Bihar. Abhishek Kumar has been nominated from the Bankipur seat. Abhishek Kumar is the vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He has been the president of the Patna Metropolitan Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). He has also been the divisional president of the BJP twice. He has successfully discharged the responsibilities of divisional minister and general secretary. He is a worker of the BJP for 27 years. He started his political career as a booth president. A general worker of the BJP state office and Bankipur assembly seat was chosen by Nitin Navin as the candidate for the seat vacated after his resignation. Abhishek Kumar belongs to the Kayastha caste. He is currently the vice-president of the state Yuva Morcha. Earlier, Prashant Kishor from the Jansuraj Party was declared the candidate from this seat.
