BJP Names Ashutosh Tiwari as Candidate for Datia By-Election in Madhya Pradesh

The BJP has announced its candidate for Datia in Madhya Pradesh. Ashutosh Tiwari has been nominated by the BJP. A press release issued by the BJP states that the Central Election Committee has given its approval for the by-election to be held in Datia, Madhya Pradesh. Ashutosh Tiwari is expected to file his nomination soon. Earlier, Ashutosh Tiwari comes from a Sangh background and has been a former divisional organization minister of the RSS. Ashutosh is also the president of the MP Housing Board. He has been associated with the BJP for a long time. The Election Commission of India issued a notification on 6 July to hold a by-election to fill the vacant seat of Datia. The last date for filing nominations here is 13 July. Candidates can withdraw nominations till 16 July. The by-election will be held on 30 July. The counting of votes will take place from 7 am to 6 pm. The by-election will be held on 3 August. The prestige battle between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress is still on.
