BJP Protests Against Rahul Gandhi's Recent Political Activities in Dehradun

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday staged a protest against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. BJP workers took out a march to gherao Congress Bhawan, but were stopped by the police at Kanak Chowk. During this, there was a scuffle between the workers and the police, while many workers climbed the barricades and shouted slogans against Rahul Gandhi. During the protest, a large number of police forces were deployed. The workers trying to move towards Congress Bhawan were stopped near the barricades. Tension prevailed at the spot for some time, though the police maintained control over the situation. BJP leaders say that this protest was organized against Rahul Gandhi's recent political activities and his statements. The party alleges that the Congress is trying to hurt the dignity of democratic institutions and constitutional posts. The protest was decided to be held across the state. BJP workers were marching towards the Congress Bhawan in the form of a procession, but due to security reasons, some of the workers were pushed back and pushed forward on the barricades.
