A new political signal has been seen within the NDA in Bihar politics. It is being considered a strong political message from the BJP that Deepak Prakash, son of Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) president and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha and a minister in the Bihar government, is not being sent to the Legislative Council. Deepak Prakash is currently a minister in the Bihar government but he is not a member of any house, assembly or legislative council. Questions are being raised about his future as a minister. Although BJP sources say that under the constitutional provisions, any person can remain a minister for six months without being a member of any house. According to sources, the BJP has long been in favor of merging the National Lok Morcha with the BJP. It is reported that the party suggested Upendra Kushwaha to merge his party but he refused. After this, it was also proposed by the BJP that Deepak Prakash could be sent to the Legislative Council on a BJP ticket, but Kushwaha was not ready for this as well because his son was a member of the BJP.
