BJP Slams Congress Over Planned Protest During Upcoming Assembly Session

The BJP has hit out at the Congress over its announcement to gherao and protest during the upcoming session of the Assembly in Gairsain. BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt said the Congress wasted its five-year term in the Assembly by creating ruckus outside and inside the House. He appealed to the opposition to participate in the last session with a positive attitude, leaving aside electoral concerns. Bhatt termed the Congress announcement as negative and purposeless politics. Instead of starting and ending the session with a ruckus, the opposition should give priority to discussing issues of public interest. On the announcement by the Congress in-charge to gherao and protest during the proposed session in Gairsain, Bhatt said the Assembly is the highest forum of democracy. Despite this, the attitude of the Congress and the opposition has not changed in the last five years. He alleged that the opposition preferred ruckus inside and outside the House and created disruptions during the discussion of serious issues. Bhatt said that the government also tries to disrupt the proceedings of the House by disrupting important matters related to public interest.
