Cooch Behar: The political heat is at its peak ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections in April next year. The BJP has lashed out at the sit-in launched by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata to protest against deletion of names from the electoral rolls. Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar mocked Mamata Banerjee during'Poriborton Yatra'in Cooch Behar, saying, "This sit-in is nothing but Didi rehearsing from now on what she has to do sitting in the opposition after losing the next election." Majumdar claimed that the people of Bengal now want change and the BJP will announce a'Seventh Pay Commission'for state government employees within 45 days as soon as it comes to power. He further added that the youth now want permanent jobs and not meagre help from the government. If the BJP forms the government, the School Service Commission (SSC) will be recruited every year and all the vacant posts will be filled by December.
