BJP Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Viral Photos of Him Eating During Protest

Photographs of Rahul Gandhi eating tea and biscuits during a protest at Parliament House on the issue of domestic gas (LPG) across the country have gone viral. This has drawn sharp criticism from BJP leaders. At a press conference held at the Bihar BJP office in Patna, the party's national spokesperson Guru Prakash hit out at the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. He called it a blatant violation of the rules of Parliament and said that Rahul Gandhi's mental balance has been disturbed. Guru Prakash also called Rahul Gandhi's move an insult to Babasaheb Ambedkar and democracy. Calling 12 March 2026 a'black day'for democracy, he said that Rahul Gandhi was sitting on a picnic and drinking tea at Makar Dwar in the name of protest in Parliament. He alleged that this was a direct and open violation of Parliament's'Rule 384'despite being expressly prohibited by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Guru Prakash raised some questions on Congress and Rahul Gandhi's mental state.
