BJP Surprises with Strong Showing in West Bengal Elections

Kolkata, Dt. 4: West Bengal is witnessing the real thrill of democracy today. Trends are changing in the counting of votes that started in the morning, which has kept the eyes of the whole country on Kolkata. As per the figures so far, the Bharatiya Janata Party has crossed the 100 mark in an impressive way and has given a tough fight to the Trinamool Congress. The highest voter turnout in the history of Bengal since independence i.e. 92% was an indication that the people are looking for some big change. The situation now is such that sometimes the saffron wave moves ahead and sometimes the Mamata's pair of flowery claws takes hold again. The most shocking news is coming from Bhabanipur and Nandigram seats. Mamata Banerjee is trailing behind BJP's Suvendu Adhikari by 1,558 votes after two rounds of counting. Suvendu Adhikari is confident that this time in South Bengal, there will be a big change in the BJP party and the anti-Muslim wave is also coming to power in many areas, which is opening the doors to the BJP.
