BJP Sweeps Local Elections in Porbandar District

(By Paresh Parekh) Porbandar, Dt. 29: BJP retains all three Taluka Panchayats of Porbandar Mahanagar Palika and Porbandar Zila Panchayat and Porbandar Ranavavav and Kutchina. Out of total 18 seats of Porbandar Zila Panchayat, Bakharla and Modhwada Zila Panchayat were uncontested while BJP won all the 16 seats. Out of 22 seats of Porbandar Taluka Panchayat and 16 seats of Ranavav Taluka Panchayat, Bapodar and Ranakandorana-2 seats were uncontested and BJP candidates won all the seats. Out of 16 seats of Kutchina Taluka Panchayat, Modadar seat was uncontested and 15 seats were contested.
