The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has registered a landslide victory in Ambala City, considered important in the municipal elections held in Haryana. In the Ambala Municipal Corporation elections, the BJP has set a record by winning 16 out of 20 seats. The Congress had to be satisfied with three seats and the BJP has won a landslide victory in the council elections with the post of Mayor of Ambala Municipal Corporation. The BJP has won 16 out of 20 wards of Ambala Municipal Corporation. The Congress has won three wards. An independent candidate has won one seat. Akshita Soni has won the post of है.मेयर Akshita Saini has won the post of Mayor of Ambala. Akshita Saini has defeated Congress candidate Kulwinder Kaur by a margin of 21358 votes. Akshita Saini has got 52,794 votes while Congress candidate Kulwinder Kaur has got 31,436 votes. After being declared as the Mayor of Ambala, Akshita Saini said that the hard work of BJP workers and IDS workers has helped the BJP to win 20 out of 12 wards of Ambala Municipal Corporation.
