BJP's Amit Shah Accuses Trinamool Congress of Compromising National Security in West Bengal

NBT Report, New Delhi: In the West Bengal Assembly election campaign, the BJP is making the country's security a key issue. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday released a'chargesheet'against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in Kolkata. Infiltration a concern for national security: Shah claimed that infiltration from West Bengal's borders has become a concern for national security. Shah also said that the security of the strategically important Siliguri corridor has been endangered by the Trinamool government's appeasement and vote bank politics. The Siliguri corridor is strategically important. It is also called the Chicken's Neck. It is a very narrow road that connects the entire North East with the rest of the country. Shah alleged that the Mamata Banerjee government has not provided land for fencing the Bangladesh border despite repeated requests from the Centre. Shah also promised that within 45 days of the BJP forming a government in the state, Mamata didi will always play her political card to stop infiltration.
