BJP's Surat Municipal Corporation Ticket Distribution Process Under Scrutiny

There is a lot of heat on ticket distribution for the upcoming elections to the Surat Municipal Corporation. It has been reported that a patch has been found on the selection of candidates in the Bharatiya Janata Party's Mavdi Mandal. The list of a total of 2062 candidates in the census process has been called again at the state level, so that the entire process can be re-evaluated. Rao has come to light that local leaders have lobbied for the names of their trusted candidates to be put forward, which has led to complaints of loyal workers being left out and the issue has reached Gandhinagar directly. The entire process has been further complicated due to factionalism among the MLAs and the organization. Now the names of the final candidates are likely to be announced only after the re-evaluation of the list.
